HEART MATTERS

James was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a potentially life threatening condition. Having received support from others having been through their own or similar journey James realised he was always one step ahead of someone going through the same thing so launched this channel to help share his story. 

Life is full of uncertainty. Covid has demonstrated that more than ever no one knows what's around the corner. Back in 2017 on the one hand I felt like I'd been dealt a bad hand but on the other hand in hindsight I feel very lucky like I was given a gift. When you are confronted with your own mortality it seems to put everything in perspective. 

Whilst this channel is to help people with my condition or others with chronic illnesses it is also a wake up for others. Why do we need to have an illness, accident or someone close to us to experience the same or even pass away for us to then decide that life is too short, make changes and live with intention. 

Surviving & Thriving with Chronic illness: Over the last few years I’ve taken my time getting use to adjusting to what life is like with this ever changing condition but felt like now was the right time to share my story to help others understand what it's like to live with a potentially life threatening chronic health condition.
